Below is a list of technical terms and what they mean
Bluetooth
- Bluetooth is a short range wireless connnection between compatible devices.
 
Wi-Fi
- Short name for Wireless Fidelity, Wi-Fi is a high-frequency Wireless Local Area Network standard which is used to connect portable devices to hubs/routers and to one another using Ad-Hoc.
 
VGA
- An acronym for Video Graphics Array, VGA is a display device which has a resolution of at least 640x480 pixels and is the standard graphic output of PCs.
 
PDA
- An acronym for Personal Digital Assistant, a PDA is a computer which can fit into the palm of the user's hand, generally touchscreen as well.
 
GB
- An acronym for gigabyte. 1 gigabyte represents 1024 megabytes.
 
GPS
- An acronym for Global Positioning System, GPS is a system of satellites and reciever devices used to locate and compute positions on Earth. Generally used in navigation.
 
Infrared
- A short range wireless communication port with speeds from 115kbits/s to 4Mbits/s.
 
RAM
- An acronym Random Access Memory, RAM is used to store program data whilst a program is in use.
 
ROM
- An acronym for Read-only memory, ROM is a type of memory which can be read but not changed.
 
TFT
- An acronym for Thin Film Transistor, TFT is a type of LCD flat panel display used in flatscreen monitors and PDA screens.
 
Processor
- A processor is the part of a computer which manipulates data and controls the execution of programs instructions.
